I have always wanted to tell stories. As a child, I spun elaborate tales of my adventures, blurring the lines between imagination and reality. While my mom often found this tiresome, I couldn’t help but live in a world of fantasy. For over twenty years, I told stories through the art of movies and television, as a Production Designer and Art Director.  There’s nothing quite like creating an entire world that once existed only on a page and watching it come to life on camera. It has been the most fulfilling career I could have imagined (and imagination is kind of my thing!). 

As the creative landscape of Hollywood shifted — with massive corporate consolidation and the rapid encroachment of artificial intelligence, I found myself searching for a more personal way to keep telling stories. I come from multiple generations of feverish readers and linguists, and my father — a librarian — made sure we were surrounded by mountains of books and stories. I was even named after a fictional character from The Lord of the Rings. You could say storytelling is in my DNA.

Blucherville Press was born from that lifelong passion. Our dream is to create an exciting and fantastical space where stories and art connect — where imagination has no limits, and where both children and adults can rediscover the magic of getting lost in a good book.  All art and stories published by Blucherville Press are, and will always be, created by humans, for humans.

We’re not anti-technology — but we believe that Art belongs to people. It is born from within our souls, not from an algorithm. Through books, illustrations, and imaginative worlds, we hope to inspire creativity in young minds - and keep doing what we have always done best: tell stories through art.

A Colorado Native, Seth has spent the last 2 decades working in Hollywood as a Prop Master, Illustrator, and Art Director.  He is excited to launch this new collection based on his character The Lost Traveler. Follow along for more exciting adventures!
